One wifout any experience other than from attachments, i began my first day of work as a childcare teacher in-trainin.. Time passed really slowly though the shift's only from 8-12pm.. How will i ever survive in the full 9hrs shift.. Hiaz~ Havn't gotten up so early at 6am in a long long while.. If my shift starts at 7am, i'll hafta geddup at 5am.. Big yawnz~ I'm posted to the toddler class as the teacher is gonna resign in june so i mite take her place.. Unlike the more advanced cuties from year 2 attachment who supposedly came frm financially better homes.. This grp of children aged aroun 24mths old can't talk and thus it's difficult to communicate wif em.. The floor area was really big and bcoz the boundaries weren't clearly delineated, the children kept movin aroun.. Of course, I had to chase after each one and get em back.. Apparently among them's a runner who scampers off wif the blink of an eye and a hitter who strikes anyone in his way.. Today there was this biting case where one child bit another's cheek wich turned blue-black.. I'm shocked.. It's so scary.. Imagine i've to deal wif this wen i'm alone.. Facin parents and such.. Yucks~ 1 pair of eyes on all 10 children? The staff:child ratio for this grp is 1:8.. Mission impossible! I'll hafta to bear wif it for a min. of a year and a half for the sake of my course.. Argh~ I feel like crying tinkin abt it.. But for consolation, my frens workin in this line aren't gettin any better.. Still it's sob sob ='(
